Foundation Cigar Company Announces David and Goliath in Tabernacle CT Havana Seed #142

09.27.21, Windsor, CT – Last year, Foundation Cigar Company premiered the Perfecto extensions to its highly successful Tabernacle Broadleaf in both the David (5 x 54) and Goliath (5 x 58).

For Foundation’s latest offering, the two-size Tabernacle expansion is being extended to the Havana Seed CT-142.

“The Havana Seed Connecticut is extremely rare and unlike any other tobacco in the world,” said master blender Nicholas Melillo. This historical seed was developed by Connecticut tobacco growers to provide greater resistance and durability. Due to the incredible amount of oil from the plant, the leaf takes three years to undergo fermentation. The results make for a delicious medium to full-bodied blend with hints of cedar, spice, rich earthiness and natural sweetness.

The release will again feature the artwork of Foundation’s art director Thief Operandi with its Ethiopian Coptic take on the timeless biblical underdog story.

“The story of David and Goliath is still relevant today,” offered Melillo. “Especially in the handmade cigar industry. We have been battling the Goliath that is FDA regulations and we were fortunate to come out with a victory last year.”

Foundation’s Tabernacle cigars embody Melillo’s long-time passion and intimate experience with CT grown tobacco. Like the Tabernacle Broadleaf before it, the blend for the new vitolas in the Tabernacle Havana CT-142 is a perfect complement to some of the finest and rarest tobacco in the world.

The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT-142 David (5 x 54) and Goliath (5 x 58) will begin shipping late October 2021 to select retailers throughout the USA.
