Originally released one year ago at the 2018 IPCPR, the Tabernacle Havana Seed #142 created a stir in the cigar world as aficionados clamored for the unique combination of spicy and sweet tones that gave this cigar its unmistakable rich flavor. The #142 has so far offered consumers four sizes to enjoy; a 6 x 52 Toro, 5 x 50 Robusto, 5 ¼ x 46 Corona, and a 7 x 54 Double Corona.

Now cigar lovers can experience the #142 in all its glory as a new 7 x 40 Lancero size. This long, thin vitola has a higher wrapper to blend ratio and relies on a flavorful wrapper leaf to carry the cigar. Its slender shape requires delicate craftsmanship to construct, and only the highest quality, pristine wrapper leaves will do. And what better wrapper to highlight than that of the #142? The thin leaf is full of rich oils and an unbelievable range of flavors, with an extravagant offering for any palate.

“In some circles, it is believed that Lanceros are the best way to truly taste the cigar’s terroir,” says Nicholas Melillo.

In that case, the #142 Lancero embodies over 100 years of history in the Connecticut River Valley. The wrapper is grown not far from Foundation’s Connecticut headquarters, where Nicholas Melillo has been a steward of this one of a kind seed since 2014. “As they grow in popularity stateside, Lanceros are increasingly becoming known as the cigar size that cigarmakers smoke themselves.” Foundation is excited to offer this classic size in the innovative Tabernacle blend to create a profound experience for connoisseurs.
